It is Christmas time and the McCallister family is preparing for a vacation in Paris, France. But the youngest in the family, Kevin (Macaulay Culkin), got into a scuffle with his older brother Buzz (Devin Ratray) and was sent to his room, which is on the third floor of his house. Then, the next morning, while the rest of the family was in a rush to make it to the airport on time, they completely forgot about Kevin, who now has the house all to himself. Being home alone was fun for Kevin, having a pizza all to himself, jumping on his parents' bed, and making a mess. Then, Kevin discovers about two burglars, Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), about to rob his house on Christmas Eve. Kevin acts quickly by wiring his own house with makeshift booby traps to stop the burglars and to bring them to justice.

The movie is very well directed and has a good storyline to it. The movie has a little kid who is home Alone, and two people come and try to kidnap the kid, but he has 2 choices between a slow painful death or a way to free himself he chose to try and free himself. He sets up traps around the house and waits for them to strike. At the end of the movie it all goes well, and they have a great time after that. I would rate this movie a 9 out of 10 I think that the only thing they can improve on is to make some of the boring parts in the movie funny. As I said the movie is well made and the wonderful director Chris Columbus did a great job! This is a great movie and deserves to be watched.

This movie is the epitome of my childhood. Something so close to home that watching it makes me feel like I'm sitting down with an old relative and laughing at the antics they had. It's like an old Christmas ornament you can't get rid of. This movie has heart, soul and hilarity all wrapped up and tied with a neat little bow. This is the movie I want to show my kids. Something truly timeless.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! This is one of the funniest Christmas movies ever. My family watched this movie so many times before I was born and they couldn't get enough of it. Obviously, the first two Home Alone movies are better than the last three movies because the first two movies had the same characters. Love Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern and Catherine O'Hara. They did a phenomenal job.
