A bit too cheesy in places and Billy Zane couldn’t twirl his moustache any tighter - would have been far more interesting to give his character a more redemptive arc. But Leo and Kate are great and Cameron’s coverage of the sinking is unmatched.
What’s truly great about this film is that the ship starts sinking just after about an hour into the film and the fact that it takes two hours to sink gives it a real time/race against time scenario that really puts you there like you’re just another passenger on the Titanic. The casting call ending shot is the masterstroke of emotion - brilliant touch by James there.

Its such an amazing movie. It never gets old although its already been 20+ years. Leonardo DeCarpio and Kate Winslet, and to the other casts too, did a very good job with the movie. I actually just watched it recently. I can't believe I missed out the years, I could've watched it earlier. I was so surprised when I discovered how much money they spent to make this movie, and I'm telling you, its all worth it. Its definitely worth your time. Now, I actually understand why it was said one of the best movies ever! I'm inlove with it. Now stand up and get a man like Jack Dawson, who is ready to drown just to keep his girl safe. <3

I still remember when I was in 7th standard we read about Titanic and we were lucky to watch this movie on the same year when it got released 1997.
Honestly, reading about Titanic was boring but when we saw the movie felt in love, specially with Celine Dion (My Heart Will Go On). Which is an amazing song. From that day till today I've seen this movie thousand times but never got bored. Till date the end scene brings tears in my eyes.
